October brought, not only fun, but a monumental change in our lives. Major events: Schramm's Farm, Kerber's Dairy, Hempfield's Fall Family Night, Halloween, (Probably other things that I'm spacing), and the birth of Baby Boy!!!!
Picture day at preschool. I just can't get over how beautiful she is. Love this girl.
So does her brother, lol.
Kids got into the face paint crayons. Vash has a name for this "tribal" mask, but I can't remember what he called it...
Someone just wanted to pose because everyone else was.
Napping on baby brother. Don't you wish you had eyelashes like these????
At 38 weeks pregnant, I was still hauling the kids around to fun activities. Sea Base required my parents to meet us there though so they could chase the kiddos around for me. (And when Grandma and Grandpa come, train rides ensue.)
Happy and blurry.
Vash was not amused with his hair, but I don't think it's ever looked better.
Dinner at Sea Base is always more fun than dinner at home. (At least, Rhyla eats when we go there, so...)
Yep. She'll eat burned corn dogs but not anything that I make. What's up with that?
Walkies! (Like the puppy slippers?)
These three rolling around the floor like pill bugs.
One of my handsome boys watching his big brother's game.
A rare instant of him on the bench. He was lucky enough to spend most of the season on the field.
Craig was pretty stoked that I paid for all the fun activities at Schramm's with the money I make from doing eye lash extensions. The kids were thrilled because I could afford the pony ride!
Rhyla insisted her horse's name was Rarity.
Fischer got the tiniest pony. I think they were a good match.
Climbing Mount Hay.
We sat in the tent in told stories for a bit.
(Why? Because it was free, ok?)
(Why? Because it was free, ok?)
Corn Pit!
Unlike Simmon's, this one was not free. But the kids enjoyed it so it was worth the money.
Do you remember that time a bunch of ladies from my ward surprised me with a Baby Shower at Sweet Frog's when I was 39 weeks pregnant? I REMEMBER! I cried so hard because I was so touched and surprised. I thought I was going to get dessert with two of my friends, but I showed up and there were 12 more of my friends there!
They brought diapers and wipes and we ate fro-yo and chatted.
The lovely dark haired one, Jayna, was the mastermind behind the surprise. She even gave me a gift certificate to get a mani/pedi at a nail place by my house. I sobbed you guys. For reals.
Laura even made the hour long drive out to be at my shower! Yay pregnant friends. (I can't selfie... I'm just not photogenic, lol.)
Craig knew about the shower and somehow didn't give it away. He even sent flowers and a special bear for me to Jayna's house so she could bring them as part of the surprise. (Funny story: Jayna said Craig asked if her husband was going to punch him for sending flowers to her house!)
This is the bear. The baby's name is embroidered on his shirt and his bouquet is made up of wash rags, socks, and a hat.
Can't remember what's in here but Fisch really wants this treat.
Last one for this pregnancy: 39 weeks, 4 days, baby #4
Halloween craft: Vash was jealous of the neighbors cool ghosts they had hanging from the tree, so we made some of our own. The one on the right is Mike Wazowski.
Rhyla's preschool had their annual Kerber Dairy Field trip the day before I delivered. They had a new playground this year.
She forgot to wear shorts under her dress so coming out of the bottom of the slide into a pile of wood chips was not so much fun.
What are big brothers for? Forcing, I mean, Helping you down the slide.
Daddy got to be there! (And share ice cream.)
He finally orders what he likes based on flavor, not color. Chocolate for the win!
Grandma and Grandpa came too, (just in case I went/had gone into labor) but somehow I didn't get any pictures of them. Rhyla's enjoying this spoon though.
Finished the stocking day before I gave birth. (I have a love/hate relationship with these things. Love making them and the way they look. Hate how long they take!)
Best of friends. (And Best Mess Makers.)
Look who's here! Cohan Joshua arrived safe and sound, weighing in at 9 lbs 1 oz, and 21 inches long. Best part of this story is that I delivered him without an epidural. The nurses were so impressed that I managed to be calm and not punch anyone while I was in labor. (It actually wasn't that bad until he was crowing and the doctor wasn't in the room yet so they wouldn't let me push! Now THAT was uncomfortable.)
Meeting their brother for the first time.
If you ask Fischer whose baby this is, he'll say "Mine, mine!"
Get ready for lots of cuteness.
Love this one.
Ready to go home.
Our greeting party at home. My parents had even tied "It's a Boy" balloons to the mailbox.
Rhyla tells Cohan she's his little mama.
Fischer likes to be right up next to the television.
Yes, the biggins love holding their baby brother.
Giving him soft loves on the feet.
Mr. Bright Eyes.
Fischer was helping Cohan wave hello.
Vash knows that black, white, and red are easiest for new babies to see, so he brought him a storm trooper toy and a red hot wheel!
No, we really don't set him down. But one of the nurses assured me that you can't spoil a baby with love and told me to hold him as much as I want. So there... (Not that I haven't held all my babies as much as I wanted. I just like vindication!)
Those cheeks though...
I don't care if it's gas. That smile is so cute.
Everyone fighting for a chance to hold him.
First bath! He really likes those:)
Cohan's Halloween "costume." I soon learned the face glows in the dark.
Ward trunk-or-treat and chili cook off. Aren't they adorable? Cohan might have been only a week old, but I hadn't left the house in all that time and I wanted chili! Plus, Craig took the others to the cars, and I sat in the trunk with Coco Bean and handed out candy. It worked out well:)
Me and two of my boys.
And the little/big brother comes to snuggle during breakfast. (Yeah, Fischer still prefers to drink milk over eating cereal or (fill in the deliciousness ) for breakfast.)
He spends a good deal of time being alert for such a little guy.
Rhyla was so excited that his hair is dark like hers. It'll be funny to see one of my boys with dark hair!
Little Mama taking care of our baby.
Fischer tried to get into the swing, and quickly wanted back out. (I remember Vash doing the same thing when he was little, lol.)
He gets so excited when I go to take a picture that he jumps and they end up blurry.
Mama snuggles. (Ain't nothing better than a little one that can't get away, lol.)
Vash is even comical for the newborn.
Rhyla's Halloween parade at preschool. (I love that Vivi dressed up as Joy from Inside Out.)
Fischer kissing his baby. (Cohan is such a big baby, lol. Look how long he is!)
I actually felt well enough to attend Vash's last game of the season. The Destroyers remained undefeated!
Halloween!
Rapunzel, Spider Man/ Peter Parker (because Vash doesn't like masks) and Perry the Platypus. (It feels good to use that costume again. And Fischer looked so cute. And he KNEW he looked so cute.)
This was the first year that Fischer understood what actually happens on Halloween. He was walking as fast as he could to get to all the doors after he saw what they were handing out.
The Trick-or-Treat pros led the way.
I wore the Coco Bean and enjoyed the fact that it didn't rain on us this year! And it was the first year since we've lived here that Craig got to come with us.
I'm so grateful we had another fun filled month. And I'm grateful for thoughtful friends that not only threw me fun shower, but then proceeded to bring us meals every other day after he was born for two weeks! But I'm most grateful for the safe arrival of our sweet little boy. I can't express enough gratitude to my Heavenly Father for the blessing of an uncomplicated labor and delivery and the birth of a big, perfect, healthy baby. He's such a sweet spirit and brings so much joy into the home. I'm so grateful that his siblings love him and that we have grown closer as a family with his arrival. I love all of my children so much and I pray that I can be worthy of them and fill their lives with as much joy as they have mine.
