Home Again

I knew our trip was officially over when the last load of laundry had been run, all the toiletries had been put away, and the suitcases were empty. I cried a little but Craig reminded me that it wouldn't be special if we were there all the time. Resuming our normal activities took some extra energy but it was nice to be home.

We've been playing outside a lot. Rhyla lifts her shirt so the sun shines on her tummy, then she pats it because she's happy. She actually almost walked into a pole the other day and it was cute because she looked at the pole like it was the pole's fault for jumping in her way.

Vash is happy to be coloring and when we go outside, he bug hunts. Although he's afraid of bugs, so he screams when he finds them.

Rhyla's also been happy to have her books back. She sits and reads to herself until she's bored, than asks me or Craig to read to her.

Vash doesn't seem to remember having had a cast at all and just jumps all over the furniture.

This angle makes her look upset, but Rhyla is actually quite happy to be playing with her daddy here. She's been super clingy lately. I mean actually clingy. She wraps her arms around your legs and leans far back to stare and you. Then she whimpers until you pick her up. So cute.

Isn't this a great smile? Vash has been singing yo ho non stop since we got home. He smiles like this when you sing along.

This is a picture Vash took himself! I was proud so I thought we ought to add it to the blog. So artistic!

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!
