The kids had tummy trouble most of the week so we didn't do much. Also, our friends were sick so we had to cancel our play date. But we still got to swim lessons, and even walked over to see the Easter pageant last night. Vash was really impressed, but Rhyla was too little and tired to enjoy it much.
Still enjoying the nice weather.
Rhyla has a tan already. Poor Vash. He just gets pink.
I put lots of sunscreen on them too!
This is a favorite activity lately. Rhyla kneels on the back of the the tricycle and Vash pulls her around.
Easter was great today. Went to church, had some dinner, played with some Easter gifts. (We got them books about Jesus and some side walk chalk.)But the highlight was really the egg hunt. It was the kids first real egg hunt and they loved it! I only wish I'd had boiled more eggs. Vash was quicker and found the eggs easier, so Rhyla was only able to grab three of the twelve. They both got really attached to the eggs they gathered and cried when we told them that the eggs had to sleep in the fridge.
Loving on her eggs. She wanted so badly to find more eggs, but brother had claimed them before she got a chance.
The hoarder. LOL.
Doesn't her dress look pretty? We got so many compliments on how cute the kids looked.
Mr. Bow tie opening his Easter gifts from Nana and Papa, or the Bunny if you roll that way.
Papa found a ball at church. When no one claimed it, he took it home for Rhyla. It's her favorite gift, even over her book, which is quite a feat.
He's so GQ in this picture.
I tried to get a picture of the two of them together. But since my camera is slow and the kids were tired this is the best we could do.
We're so grateful for this Easter season and the opportunity we have to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Because He lives, we will all conquer death and live again. We love Him and strive to follow in His foot steps. May you all feel the joy this season brings, and feel the truth of it's message:
I know that my Redeemer lives!
