Mr. Smith Goes To Los Angeles

Yep. Craig is a really popular guy right now. He was flown out to Los Angeles this weekend for an interview with a global company. He wasn't nearly as impressed by the big city as he was by all the lush green Washington had to offer, but that doesn't mean we've made our minds up just yet. As for me and the kids, we had a slumber party in the living room and didn't fall asleep until almost 2am. Yeah, I know, dumb idea Jymie. I couldn't agree more. Anyhow, GUESS WHAT TOMORROW IS?!?!?!?!?!?!? The day we have been working and waiting for, going on 6 years now, is finally arriving! Craig is graduating! YEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Ok, I'll stop with the exclamation points, but only because my full excitement expressed in them would take a whole page.) I'm so proud and excited I could burst! It will be amazing. But for now, I'll focus on this last week. Some fun stories:
During our play date this week, we were outside, enjoying the cool weather, when it started to rain. Vash and Sam immediately started grabbing all the toys and pulling them under the awning so they'd "Be safe from the rain." Then they sat, along with Joshy, looking out, a little weary, at the rain. Rhyla on the other hand, seemed filled with wonder. She stood right out in the down pour, holding a broom in one hand and a ball in the other, just swaying side to side, and looking up at the new wet stuff. It was so cute. Then it REALLY started to pour and I had to go out and rescue her. Rhyla also apparently has something against our couch pillows. Craig said one night she was grabbing them, running across the room growling, then hurling them back onto the couch with a victorious laugh. Rhyla also said her first sentence! She got her hand caught in the fireplace while reaching for a toy that had gotten in there. So she turns to me and Craig and says "I stuck." Oh, we couldn't stop laughing, it was so darn adorable.
Vash has been obsessed with showering this week. He likes to play in the hose, take multiple showers a day (needed, as he is a little boy who gets filthy a lot), and even, stripping down to hop into the water table. He also enjoys singing all day. His favorites include, It's a Small World, Pirates, and Mickey Mouse Club House.

Mr. Nudie Pants.

Notice Vash's tattoos? He's potty training still and we didn't want to keep encouraging him with candy because it makes him crazy. Which makes us crazy. LOL. So we have two jars, one for Pee Pee treats and one for Poop treats. The poop jar has hot wheels and bubbles, things he really wants and hopefully will work for. But the pee jar has mostly green army men, erasers shaped like dinosaurs and cars, and temporary tattoos. Yesterday we added those capsules that when put in hot water, expand out to animals or trains. Hopefully, this will do the trick. I'm tired of having two little ones in diapers.

This is a picture of Rhyla after she lost a fight with her milk bowl this morning. I need to shower her. She's beginning to smell sour. Haha.
