Sorry System fans; this has nothing to do with the band. Basically, I've got almost nothing, the blog included, done in about a month because neither myself or the kids can get over our illnesses. I actually had to go to the ER the other night and get a steroid shot because my throat was swelling up like a toad's and I had pinkeye and a cough that is actually still persisting. Both kids are snotty and coughing with clamminess and irritability; plus Craig's been gone so I haven't had much down time. It's just been rough and I haven't felt like doing anything extra. Hopefully, I'll get better this week and get back to doing the blog weekly from now on.
The groundhog lied. It's been snowing again. I figured cold and sunshine was better than no sunshine at all so we played outdoors for a little bit the other day. Rhyla's speech has been improving a lot lately and she's been using her words to show her independence. The other day I asked if she wanted more cereal and she says; "No, no. Just eating my milk."
Vash now enjoys making his bed in the morning. But he also likes taking it apart and reassembling it onto my bed. LOL. So, sometimes he naps there. Also, he'll change his clothes several times a day because he only wants to wear pajamas and refuses to stay in the jeans I dress him in. Guess it's because it's more comfortable.
Vash's pack-rat-ness must be rubbing off on her some, because Rhyla now insists that we bring her stuff sheep, her baby doll, her Tuku, and a Pooh blanket everywhere we go.
Vash has started a new game! Whenever we drive somewhere, he'll count to three and then he and Rhyla will pretend to start running; despite being constrained in their car seats. I call it the Car Seat Races. It's pretty cute actually.
The kids still love music and dancing. They even dance together now, which I think is the cutest thing in the world. Rhyla will curtsy and Vash will bow and twirl her around. Rhyla likes directing music too. She'll get a straw from a juice pouch and then ask me to sing something so she can wave the straw around. LOL.
The kids are happy that Craig's back for a few days. (We hope.) He still has to go down to the office tomorrow, but it shouldn't be for the whole day and he'll be home for dinner, which is nice.
And these are the flowers Craig got for me. I'm thinking the reason for them was either feeling sorry being gone for almost a month or feeling sorry that I've been sick for a month. Either way, they're pretty. I like them.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!
