I know. I'm late on writing this... again. What can I say? My week has been a bit nuts. I got called to Cub Scouts again but I'm still in nursery. So Wednesday nights are shot. Vash got an ear infection and we had to go to the hospital at seven in the morning because we had a fiasco about transferring records with the pediatricians. Had to have a nurse come to the house and draw blood so we could get set up for life insurance. My best friend's car caught on fire and I can't just let my bestie walk to work, so we've had a little extra drive time. Had to get new contacts because the kids hid my glasses and the only set I had left had tears in them. The Mazda got a flat and we had to get all new tires. Plus there was visiting teaching somewhere in there and being made a manager of the website for my bestie's new Indie publishing company. (Golden Toad Books ROCKS!) So yes... the blog has skipped my mind.
The kids were really well behaved at the hospital. Rhyla sat and ate her breakfast while Vash tried to give check-ups to the nurses trying to check him up. LOL. They kept asking him; "You're a doctor. Do you give check-ups?" And he'd say, "Yeah, but I don't check myself up."
My bestie Becca made me "Fat Man Pie" so we could eat our feelings. Oh, the name offends you? Well I'm sorry but it's a mix of cake, brownie, fudge frosting and I bet if you ate those things all the time you'd be fat too. So technically it's a disclaimer and not an insult.
Vash said the other day that I was a Princess and Daddy is a Kingdom. Yes... a Kingdom. (I blame Sofia the first for confusing him.) We've gotten into the habit of telling stories lately and Rhyla told the cutest one about a bear. It's so funny; she says the whole, "Once upon a time," and goes on to say there was a scary bear doing something, (can't remember), and even finishes with "The End."
LOL. I can't get enough of her face. Not sure what she was doing. The other day she started sobbing and I was like, "What's wrong baby?" And she points to her face and says, "I'm Crying!" Then she was climbing all over the couch today and tells me ,"I'm so strong!"
This is a boy that loves having his picture taken. He's getting sweeter by the day, too. He asks if he can give "lots and lots" of kisses. So he holds you to his mouth and makes smoochy sounds over and over again. The other day, he drew me a picture with some writing at the bottom. I asked him what it said and he replies; "It says, I love Heavenly Father and He loves me."
I almost cried. I'm so grateful and proud that my children are learning in their youth that we are not alone and we have a Father in Heaven that will always love and take care of us; no matter what.
